With this step, SIGNA Sports Group continues on its path towards multichannel domi- nance in the sports retail sector. Migros Genossenschaftsbund [Cooperative] and Probikeshop’s founder, Olivier Rochon, are selling their shares. Olivier Rochon will be- come a shareholder in internetstores. Probikeshop is the leading online bike retailer in France and Southern Europe.
This fusion of internetstores with Probikeshop will create the leading online bike and outdoor platform in continental Europe with 35 online shops in 12 languages in 14 countries. It will result in considerable synergies and growth potential across the entire value chain, – and leverages the perfect regional fit between internetstores and Probikeshop. In the full bike area, it will be one of the largest online retailers in the world.
The company’s founder, Olivier Rochon, will remain as CEO of Probikeshop and will continue to lead the development of the company, which was founded in 2005 in St. Etienne, France, and its 170 employees.

The completion of the transaction is subject to approval by the antitrust authority.
Probikeshop has a very wide range of products, with more than 450 different sports brands, its own private brands and exclusive brands, which are sold in the 7 online shops in France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland and Germany. Probikeshop’s online shop was named Best Online Shop in France in 2017. Probikeshop currently employs 170 people.
